Each Memorial Day weekend thousands of motorcycles and bikers converge on Washington DC to pay their respects to soldiers who were killed in the Viet Nam conflict. "The Wall" is inscribed with each soldier's name who made the ultimate sacrifice. It was easily one of the most moving experiences I've ever witnessed, as family and friends remember those who never returned home. The memorial is sacred ground and as a photographer, I had to be respectful of those engaged in private moments. Documenting while being non-intrusive was the biggest challenge.
I was fortunate enough to document the ride and some of the experiences at The Wall through the eyes of a Viet Nam veteran's last trip to "The Wall."
